Soak up St Ives’ idyllic Cornish charm in this characterful cottage in the heart of the town. Sleeping three guests, the cottage is perfect for couples and small families. The cottage is located in the Downalong area, and you’ll be surrounded by adorable fishermen’s cottages, cobbled streets, independent boutiques, and cute cafes. Just a short stroll (approx. 300 metres) from the accommodation brings you to the picturesque harbour, where you can sip a delicious local ale overlooking the water or dine in one of the fabulous seafood restaurants. You can also take boat trips from the harbour to explore the rugged coastline or visit Seal Island. St Ives is spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, with four main sandy stretches within easy walking distance of the town. For surfing and fantastic sunsets, head to Porthmeor, or for turquoise waters and sheltered bathing (as well as a much-loved beach cafe), spend the day at Porthminster.

Step up into the cute cottage from the pedestrian courtyard and into the entrance porch, where you can store your sandy shoes and walking boots. Once you walk through the pretty, stained-glass door, a warm welcome awaits in the open-plan lounge/diner, where exposed beams run across the ceiling and original floorboards create a rustic and homely feel. Plump sofas are arranged around a beautiful ornamental fireplace and Smart TV, creating a cosy spot to snuggle up and watch a film. At the opposite end of the room there is a charming dining table with benches. A step up leads to a separate kitchen, again with characterful exposed beams, that has everything you need to rustle up a delicious meal. Heading upstairs, you’ll find two cosy bedrooms – a double and a single – along with a stylish shower room.

There is no outside space with this property. However, you’ll be less than 200 metres from St Ives’ Porthmeor Beach, so you can easily enjoy a pre-breakfast dip in the sea or a post-dinner sunset stroll along the sand.
