Warren Cottage

Warren Cottage is a Grade II-listed former fisherman's cottage in The Warren, a traffic-free area at the heart of Polperro village. The 18th-century cottage sleeps four across three floors in a double and twin bedroom, with harbour and sea views from most windows. Short breaks are available most of the year and up to two dogs of any size are welcome.

Inside, the cottage runs across three floors with one bathroom and a light, airy layout. A washing machine is provided and wifi covers the property. The age of the building is reflected in the staircases and room layout, and the accessible ground floor sits on the main pedestrian lane level.

Outside, the cottage has no garden of its own, though the front steps work as a sun trap for sitting out. Parking is in The Warren itself. The South West Coast Path passes the door, heading east to Talland Bay and Looe (4 miles by road), and west to Lansallos and Polruan. A small sandy beach emerges outside the harbour walls at low tide.

Polperro's cafes, restaurants, pubs, galleries, shops, Model Village and Land of Legend, and Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing all sit within a short walk. The cottage was the birthplace of local historian Jonathan Couch. Seasonal pleasure boats depart from the harbour. The cottage can be rented alongside Ten Steps, two doors away, for larger parties. Fowey, 7 miles away, is reached via the Bodinnick ferry.
