Aurora Barn

Aurora Barn is a thatched barn conversion in Launcells, a rural parish about 3 miles east of Bude with no single village centre. It sleeps four across a super king bedroom and a twin room whose zip-and-link beds can form a king size on request, with the two rooms sharing one bathroom.

Parking, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a garden and a barbecue are included. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave, and the bathroom has a corner bath, shower and WC. Up to two dogs are welcome. Countryside walks lead from the doorstep, and there are dog-friendly village pubs nearby, making the barn a rural rather than a coastal base.

Summerleaze Beach, with its tidal sea pool, is 4.1 miles away, Crooklets, Bude's main surf beach, is 4.2 miles, and Northcott Mouth is 4.5 miles. Bude's shops, cafes and eateries are named as a worthwhile trip from the barn, while St Swithin's church at Launcells Barton, once described by John Betjeman as the least spoilt church in Cornwall, sits within the parish itself.

**Best for:** A family or two couples wanting flexible bedding, countryside walks, a garden and space for two dogs.

**Less good for:** EV drivers or those needing step-free access.
