Close to Land’s End, mainland Britain’s most south-westerly point, the village of Sennen is a holiday hot spot with an easy-going lifestyle and fabulous sea views. Big blue rollers make the beach here top-rate for surfing while the wide, golden sands are great for buckets and spades-style fun. Out of season or when the sun’s not shining, there’s plenty to see and do around the small harbour, lifeboat station, local galleries and shops. Less than a 10-mile drive, Penzance sits on the opposite side of the peninsula, and another 8 miles will take you to St Ives; with the South West Coast Path on the doorstep too, Sennen really does offer something for everyone.
Enjoy al fresco meals and sundowners on the lawn or patio – there’s a pub-style bench, additional seating and lovely fresh sea air a
