Crabbers Rest

Crabbers Rest is a modernised three-storey cottage in the heart of Polperro, seconds from the working harbour where around 13 registered fishing boats still land their catch. The property has been extensively refurbished while keeping original features - beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and a wood burning stove in the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities. The open-plan ground floor creates a relaxed living space that combines cooking, dining and sitting areas. Period character runs through the property, with the stone and timber details giving it a strong sense of place.

Lekerock Cove Beach is 1.4 km from the door, and Talland Bay - a quieter stretch of coast with rock pools - sits 1.6 km away. The South West Coast Path section from Polperro to Looe covers about 5 miles through Talland Bay, taking 2.5 to 3.5 hours one way.

Polperro itself is car-free in the centre - parking is at Crumplehorn car park at the top of the village, roughly half a mile uphill. A tuk-tuk service runs Easter to October. The Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing overlooks the harbour from a former pilchard factory. The Blue Peter Inn, built into the cliffs by the harbour, is the main pub. The village lies within the Cornwall National Landscape and the Gribbin Head to Polperro Heritage Coast.
