Overbrook

Overbrook is a three-bedroom cottage on the edge of Polperro village, reached over a small footbridge across the River Pol. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms sleep two, with the cottage combining a riverside setting with direct walking access to Polperro's streets, harbour and pubs. The property joined the rental market in 2024.

Inside, the ground floor is open-plan with WiFi, a dishwasher and an open fire in the main living space. Dogs are welcome, and accessible access is included throughout.

Outside, two seating areas suit different times of day - one at the front with the sound of the river running underneath, and a quieter space at the back with a wildflower patch in spring. Private parking comes with the cottage, which is genuinely useful given Polperro's pedestrian restrictions in the centre during the day.

Polperro is a working fishing harbour set between cliffs, with pubs, cafes and galleries along narrow lanes. The South West Coast Path runs in both directions to Talland Bay (about 1.2 miles) and Lansallos. Looe lies 4 miles east for the Looe Valley Line railway and a wider choice of shops.

Best for couples or pairs who want a village-centre position with character - the footbridge and riverside setting are the draw. Less good for anyone needing a larger group capacity or a modern open-plan layout.
