Looe itself is a working fishing town divided by the river into East and West Looe, linked by a Victorian bridge. The quayside has a daily fish market, several seafood restaurants, and boat trips to Looe Island marine reserve. The town is flat along the harbour front but rises steeply on both sides, so the cottage's position on Higher Beech Terrace likely involves a short climb from the beach.

Suits families or small groups wanting an in-town base within walking distance of the beach, shops, and the harbour. The open fire makes it viable for winter weekends. Less good for those who need more than one bathroom or want to travel with dogs.
