Plaidy Beach is 1.5 miles away - a quiet beach tucked below the cliffs east of Looe, accessible on foot via the coast path and less busy than the town beaches. East Looe Beach is 1.6 miles and Hannafore Beach 2.1 miles, giving three distinct coastal options within a short drive or moderate walk.

Looe town is under 2 miles away and has a working fish quay, a Blue Flag beach, independent shops along the quay, and a small aquarium. The Looe Valley Line railway connects the town to Liskeard and the mainline network. Dogs are welcome, which is useful given the parkland setting and easy access to the coast path.
