Fountain Barn

Fountain Barn is a one-bedroom barn conversion for two in St Dominick, a village in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The super-king bedroom has space for two extra Z-beds or up to two cots, though the structured sleeping capacity remains two, and one bathroom serves the barn. The ground-floor bathroom has a large double bath and a separate shower, and the kitchen has an electric oven and hob.

A conservatory overlooks the garden, adding a separate place to sit outside the main living space. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher, washing machine and barbecue are included. Dogs are not accepted at this property. A local pub is within walking distance.

Whitsand Bay is 11.2 miles away, Downderry Beach a similar distance and Kingsand Beach 11.8 miles, making this an inland base rather than a beachside stay. The National Trust's Cotehele House, a medieval manor with terraced gardens leading down to a Tamar quay, lies to the north of the parish, and Callington, the nearest market town, is about 4 miles west. Plymouth is a short drive away across the Tamar Bridge via Saltash.

**Best for:** Two guests wanting a garden outlook, conservatory, barbecue, laundry facilities and a pub reachable on foot, with easy access to Cotehele House.

**Less good for:** Beach-first stays, dog owners or guests needing step-free access.
