Froglets is a one-bedroom apartment in Tregoney, sleeping two in a 4'6" bed with en-suite. Restored by its owners since 2017, with the original thick cob walls repaired in lime plaster, it's rated 9.0 on Booking.com from 15 reviews and scores 9.7 for location.

The kitchen alcove holds a washing machine, a new electric cooker and fridge-freezer, and a corner cupboard built under the original stairs. A wood burner and TV sit in the ground-floor living room, and dogs are welcome. WiFi and a streaming service cover the sitting room, and the wood flooring throughout is a recent addition from the 2017 renovation. Parking is across the lane rather than right outside the door, and the narrow stairs to the bedroom need a ducked head.

Froglets sits at the edge of Tregoney village on the Fal river, a popular stretch for birdwatchers and riverside walks. The Kings Arms pub is a 3-minute walk, and the Roseland's beaches, including Carne Beach, are around 4.3 miles south towards St Mawes. Truro Cathedral is roughly 8 miles north-west for a change of scene.

Best for a couple based centrally for Roseland day trips who don't mind a short walk to parking. Less good for anyone wanting beach access on foot, since the closest sandy beach is a drive away.
