The Eden Marathon and Half Marathon return on Sunday 18 October 2026. Both are hilly, multi-terrain races through the Clay Country around the Eden Project, organised with St Austell Running Club. The marathon starts at 9.30am; half-marathon runners set off at 10am.
These courses suit a different day out from a flat seafront race. Allow for the climbs when planning your pace, and use the official course information to decide which distance fits your training. The entry page describes chip timing and online race analysis, with a medal for finishers and a pasty and beer for runners.
Entering the race
Standard entry is £48 for the marathon and £43 for the half marathon. The published closing date is 30 September 2026, or earlier if places sell out. Choose the correct distance on the booking page and read the race conditions before paying; an Eden visitor ticket does not enter you in either race.
Race packs are due to be posted in early October. Overseas entrants have separate collection arrangements, so check the runner information if you are travelling to Cornwall from abroad. Keep that information with your accommodation booking rather than relying on a normal Eden opening time.
Bringing supporters
Runners and their accompanying family and supporters receive free Eden admission on the day. That makes the event workable for a mixed group, with some racing and others visiting the Biomes. Browse St Austell and local places to stay when planning the early start.
