The Fowey to Polruan passenger ferry crosses in under 5 minutes and connects to the Hall Walk circular - a 4-mile route taking about 2.5 hours using both ferries. Daphne du Maurier lived in the area for decades, and the annual Du Maurier Literary Festival draws visitors each year. The town is also the southern end of the Saints’ Way pilgrim route from Padstow.
