Perranporth Beach is 3.2 miles south for a longer, more exposed surf beach.

Best for groups of up to eight - families combining younger children and adults - who want a proper cottage base for coast path walking. Less good for guests relying on public transport: St Agnes has no train station, and buses are infrequent.
