The Attic

The Attic is a two-bedroom cottage in Ruan Minor, on the southern tip of the Lizard, sleeping 4 guests with 1 bathroom. The property is set on the upper floor - the name is literal - and comes with an enclosed garden and a BBQ for outdoor cooking. Wi-Fi, parking, and a washing machine are all included. No dogs, which suits guests with allergies.

Inside, the layout is compact and practical: two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen-living area. The garden gives a private outdoor space, useful for the Lizard's long summer evenings. The South West Coast Path runs nearby, connecting the village to Cadgwith in roughly 15 minutes on foot.

Cadgwith Beach is about 800 metres away - a working fishing cove with two shingle bays, thatched cottages, and the Cadgwith Cove Inn directly above the beach. The boats that work out of Cadgwith are a fixture of the cove. Kynance Cove - one of Cornwall's most photographed beaches, with serpentine rock stacks and turquoise water - is roughly 2.6 miles south. Ruan Minor village has a shop and a recreational ground with a bar.

**Best for:** walkers and couples who want a quiet base on the Lizard close to coast path access and a genuine working fishing village, without dogs or large groups. **Less good for:** families with dogs, or anyone wanting sandy beaches on the doorstep - the nearest sandy strand is Kennack Sands, a short drive away.
