The Old Cow Barn

The Old Cow Barn is a one-bedroom conversion in Laneast for two guests, with one bathroom. The cottage sleeps two, and a sofa bed can take two more guests on request for an extra £25; confirm it with the owners before booking.

WiFi, parking and EV charging are included, and up to four dogs can stay. A dishwasher and washing machine are included. The kitchen also has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. The bedroom and bathroom are both on the ground floor. Moorland walks begin from the doorstep, a clear advantage of the rural setting.

Laneast itself is a small parish above the River Inny valley, about 6 miles west of Launceston, with a population of around 200. Mathematician John Couch Adams, co-discoverer of the planet Neptune, was born at Lidcott Farm here in 1819.

Crackington Haven Beach is 8.8 miles away, Bossiney Cove Beach is 9.3 miles from the barn and Millook Beach is 9.9 miles away, all requiring a drive from this inland base. Bodmin Moor, Camelford, Port Isaac and the Eden Project are also within reach.

**Best for:** A couple wanting moorland walks, EV charging and space for up to four dogs.

**Less good for:** Guests expecting the sofa bed included at no extra cost.
