Readymoney Cove, a sheltered sandy beach below the 15th-century St Catherine's Castle ruins, is 0.9 miles on foot through Fowey town. Lantic Bay - an exposed National Trust beach only accessible on foot or by water - is 1.5 miles. The Polruan foot ferry, crossing from Fowey Quay, reaches a village with a boat-building tradition and a clifftop walk back towards Lantic Bay. A private garden is available, along with parking for one car; dogs are not accepted.

Good for couples or families of four who want a waterfront position in one of Cornwall's most-visited harbour towns. Suits those planning to walk the Hall Walk or explore the Fowey River by kayak. Less good for guests who want a beach on the doorstep - Readymoney Cove is a short town walk, and there is no sand visible from the apartment itself.
