Rooms are individually decorated with private en-suite bathrooms, and most look out over the sea from a private balcony or patio. A continental breakfast is served each morning in a dining room that opens to the sea air when the weather allows, with fresh coffee, cereals, fruit and yoghurt on offer. Free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer and a flat-screen TV are standard in every room, and a lounge with an honesty bar opens onto a sheltered, south-facing sun deck. Free on-site parking is available, and dogs are not accepted. Being adults-only and licensed, it doesn't suit family groups with children.

Gyllyngvase Beach and the coast path sit at the bottom of the hill, with Castle Beach 800 metres away and Swanpool Beach 900 metres in the other direction. Pendennis Castle is 1.2 miles on foot, and the harbour, with water taxis to St Mawes, is within walking distance. The Daily Telegraph named Bosanneth one of 20 exceptional B&Bs nationally.

Best for couples on an adults-only break who want sea views and beach access without a car. Less good for dog owners, or for families travelling with children, since under-18s aren't accommodated.
