Buttercup

Buttercup is a one-bedroom barn conversion for two, set in a courtyard near Trebarwith Strand with Delabole as the nearest town. A king-size bed and a single bathroom keep the layout simple, and the barn sits within its own five-acre paddock rather than in a village row.

A wood burner heats the sitting room, and the paddock has cut walking routes for a stretch of legs without getting in the car. A dedicated dog shower and room for up to two dogs make it a practical base for a beach-and-mud routine. WiFi, parking and a washing machine are all included in the stay. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, a fridge with an ice compartment and a coffee machine. The shared utility room also has a tumble dryer and a freezer.

Trebarwith Strand, the cottage's namesake beach, is 2 miles away. Bossiney Cove is 2.2 miles off, Tregardock Beach is 3.0 miles and Port Gaverne is 6.0 miles, each reachable along the coast road rather than on foot. The barn sleeps two, so it is a base for a couple, with or without dogs.

**Best for:** two guests with up to two dogs wanting a wood burner, paddock walks and a proper dog shower after the beach.

**Less good for:** guests needing step-free access or space for more than two people.
