The cottage retains its stone character while offering a practical modern kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, plus WiFi throughout. The ground-floor layout keeps the main rooms on one level, uncommon in character properties of this age. An open fire in the sitting room makes the cottage viable well into October - and equally good for a new-year break when the north coast paths are quiet.

Off-street parking and a small garden sit alongside. Dogs are not accepted. The Falcon Inn, village tea room, store and post office are all within a five-minute walk of the door. The Japanese garden at Lanherne Convent, one of the most unusual gardens on the north coast, is a ten-minute stroll down the lane. Mawgan Porth, the nearest sandy beach, is two miles by road; Watergate Bay adds a second option four miles north, with its surf school and beachfront café. Newquay is six miles away.
