The Japanese garden at Lanherne Convent, one of the most unusual gardens on the north coast, is a ten-minute stroll down the lane. Mawgan Porth, the nearest sandy beach, is two miles by road; Watergate Bay adds a second option four miles north, with its surf school and beachfront café. Newquay is six miles away.
