Chy An Eglos

Chy An Eglos is a 4-bedroom property in Carbis Bay with a heated swimming pool and hot tub, sleeping up to 8 guests across 5 bathrooms. The house has 1930s origins - bay windows and large rooms reflect the original proportions - but has been renovated and extended into a contemporary layout.

A large open-plan kitchen and dining room connects to an outdoor entertainment area and pool terrace through two sets of bifold doors. Two separate sitting rooms, both with entertainment systems, give families space to spread out. Four bedrooms - two with en-suite bathrooms - accommodate couples and family groups. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine, and there is WiFi, off-road parking, a barbecue, and a garden.

The swimming pool is available year-round, heated to 28-29 degrees from April to September. The hot tub sits alongside it on the terrace. Carbis Bay beach - a 500-metre arc of pale sand with Blue Flag status - is 600 metres from the property. Porthkidney Beach is 1 mile away, and Porthminster Beach in St Ives is 1.4 miles.

Carbis Bay has a rail halt on the St Ives Bay Line, connecting to St Erth in 12 minutes. St Ives is a 25-minute walk along the South West Coast Path or one stop on the branch line, giving access to galleries, restaurants, and the harbour. The path also runs west towards Lelant and the Hayle Estuary RSPB reserve.

Nearby: Carbis Bay (600m) and Porthkidney Beach (1mi). See our Carbis Bay guide for more beaches and walks in the area.

Best for large groups wanting a heated pool and hot tub combination without leaving the property, with two sitting rooms giving families room to spread out.
