Carbis Bay is 1.9 miles from the door, and Hayle is about two miles in the other direction. The South West Coast Path at Lelant is under two miles, and Penzance is six miles by road. The road itself mixes old and new detached houses, with no shop or pub closer than a ten-minute walk.

Best for a couple or small family wanting a quiet St Erth base with parking and rail access to St Ives. Less good for anyone without a car after dark, since the nearest shop is about a ten-minute walk and pubs are further still.
