Escape with your loved ones to this gorgeous barn conversion located alongside Rose Hill – a pretty lane that winds down to the harbour in the picturesque, historic fishing village of Port Issaac. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, this is a perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends in search of a cottage that’s overflowing with character to call home while they experience all the fun of a traditional Cornish getaway together. Beach bums will adore spending a morning at Port Gaverne (0.5 miles), a sheltered cove where you can go rock pooling or try your hand at kayaking or paddleboarding. Afterwards, make your way to Tintagel Castle (9.5 miles) to learn all about its links to King Arthur. Alternatively, head into the beautiful little village of Boscastle (13 miles) to admire its scenic harbours, browse the local shops and visit its intriguing Witchcraft Museum.
From your private parking spot, head down the garden path of this wonderfully higgledy-piggledy historic cottage. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by an enchanting interior that effortlessly blends modern styling with rural charm. Under the high, beamed ceiling, the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner features a beautiful mix of reclaimed brick and timber. The rich wood flooring leads you into a smart kitchen where you’ll find everything you need to cook up a feast, while the dining area invites you to share relaxed dinners with your loved ones at the elegant glass table. After dinner, head to the living area and treat yourself to a glass of something cool and crisp by the glowing wood burner. At the end of the day, make your way down the narrow flight of stairs to the lower ground floor and you’ll find the master king-size bedroom, which has wooden beams, an ornamental fireplace and a wonderful stained-glass window. The second bedroom is a twin and has a spa-like en-suite with a bath and shower. Completing the layout, you’ll find a pretty shower room with a rainfall shower on the same level.
Step outside and you’ll find a lovely south-facing garden with a charcoal BBQ. Share a fun al fresco dinner on the private garden terrace, and then hop into the bubbling hot tub to relax while you soak up the stunning country views.
