Cartway Cabin

Cartway Cabin is a 2-bedroom accessible cottage at Port Gaverne, sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. The cabin sits roughly 200 metres above the sand-and-shingle cove and has full accessibility features - relevant for guests with mobility requirements. Off-road parking and a garden are included.

Inside, the cottage is laid out on a single level with a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine, and wifi throughout. Two bedrooms sleep four; changeover day is Friday.

Port Gaverne is a sheltered cove tucked between headlands, sandy at low tide and calmer for swimming than the exposed north Cornwall surf beaches. From the cove, the coast path climbs in both directions along high cliffs - west towards Port Quin (1.9 miles), east towards Tregardock Beach (3 miles). Port Isaac village is a 10-minute walk: harbour, the Fisherman's Friends Platt, Nathan Outlaw's Michelin-starred restaurant on New Road, fish-and-chip shops, and a handful of pubs.

Best for couples or a family of four wanting easy beach access without beach-town crowds, particularly those needing step-free accommodation. Less suitable for larger groups or anyone expecting surf - Polzeath, the nearest surf beach, is 4.5 miles south.

Port Isaac sits at the foot of a steep-sided inlet that has barely changed since the 14th century.
