Harford

Harford began life as the timekeeper's cottage for the nearby Tregurtha Down Tin and Copper Mine, and it keeps a stone feature wall in the sitting room. The room that overlooks the front garden was used to keep watch on the workforce.

You come in through a sunroom, which leads to a kitchen/diner. The kitchen has an oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a chest freezer, a kettle and a toaster. The sitting room has a woodburning stove and a Smart TV, and the kitchen/diner has an electric fire. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, and there is WiFi with full fibre broadband.

The double bedroom is on the ground floor, and so is the shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. The second bedroom is a twin. At the back is an enclosed garden with lawn and furniture. Dogs are welcome; check with the owners how many can stay before you book. The cottage is no smoking.

The cottage is in Goldsithney, with a shop and pub 0.1 miles away and Perranuthnoe beach 1 mile. It suits a couple or a small family using the double and the twin, and it is ideal for two friends who want separate rooms. It is less good for a group larger than four, since the two bedrooms are the only sleeping space.
