Hazelhurst

Hazelhurst is a detached four-bedroom cottage in Tredrizzick, a small hamlet between Rock and St Minver on the north Cornwall coast. The property sleeps seven across a king-size double, a twin, a single, and a bunk room - a mix that suits families where ages span a range.

The sitting room has an open fire with night storage heating as backup, giving the cottage warmth outside peak summer. A fully equipped kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher. The ground floor also has accessible facilities including a cloakroom. WiFi and a TV are included; bed linen and towels are not.

Three north Cornwall beaches sit within 2 miles of the door. Daymer Bay Beach is 1.7 miles south-west - a sheltered estuary beach with calm, shallow water suitable for families and paddlers. Greenaway Beach is about 1.9 miles on foot, a quieter cove. Polzeath Beach is 2 miles north and has surf schools and seasonal lifeguard cover, along with beach hire for those learning to ride the break.

Rock village, connected to Padstow by a water taxi running every 20 minutes, is about 1.5 miles away. The Camel Trail picks up at Wadebridge, 4 miles south, running 18 miles to Padstow along the estuary. Off-road parking for at least one vehicle is included.

**Best for:** Families with mixed-age children wanting access to both surf and calm-water beaches, or groups using Rock as a base for Padstow without paying Rock prices.

**Less good for:** Couples or solo travellers (four bedrooms is a large commitment), or those wanting sea views or a garden.
