Honeysuckle Cottage

Honeysuckle Cottage is a 1-bedroom terraced cottage at Trevalgas Cottages in Poughill, near Bude, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom. The Trevalgas estate includes a shared swimming pool. The accommodation is all on the ground floor. A BBQ, dishwasher and Wi-Fi are included, and a shared laundry room on the estate has washing machines. Dogs are welcome.

Crooklets Beach is about 2 miles away and Summerleaze Beach is a similar distance - both flat, sandy beaches that handle the Atlantic swell well and have lifeguard cover in summer. Northcott Mouth Beach is about the same, a quieter option beyond the headland. Bude's sea pool sits on the rocks at Summerleaze and is free to use year-round.

Bude town centre is about 2 miles away, with a Sainsbury's, independent surf and outdoor shops, and a concentration of cafes and restaurants around the canal. The Bude Canal is one of Cornwall's few navigable inland waterways and has a flat, traffic-free walking route from the town to Marhamchurch. The South West Coast Path runs directly through Bude, with clifftop walking available in both directions.

Suits a couple travelling with a dog who want a base near Bude's beaches with the benefit of a pool for warmer days. Less good for those wanting total seclusion - Trevalgas is a small estate of adjoining cottages sharing the pool. Changeover is Saturday.
