Kirland

Kirland is a five-bedroom cottage on a farm near Chapel Amble, in the St Kew Highway area of north Cornwall. The property sleeps 10 and sits on the A39 corridor between Wadebridge and Camelford, giving straightforward road access to Port Isaac, Rock, and Polzeath.

Inside, five bedrooms are spread across two floors - two king-size, one double, one twin with en-suite walk-in shower, and one bunk room. A family bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower, and there is an additional ground-floor shower room. The sitting room has two woodburning stoves, making it a practical gathering space for larger groups on cooler evenings. A sunroom, separate kitchen/diner, and utility room round out the living space.

The enclosed garden is set over multiple levels with lawns, a patio, and outdoor furniture. Off-road parking is available, and up to two dogs are welcome. The nearest pub is under a mile away.

Port Gaverne Beach, a sheltered cove with rock pools and kayaking, is about 3 miles away near Port Isaac. Daymer Bay, a calm estuary beach well suited to families, lies 5 miles to the west near Trebetherick. The Camel Trail cycling route runs through Wadebridge, roughly 3 miles south, connecting Bodmin to Padstow along a disused railway line.

**Best for:** large multi-family groups needing space to spread out, given the five bedrooms across two floors, the two woodburning stoves, and the two-dog allowance. **Less good for:** groups wanting to walk to the beach, since the nearest beach, Port Gaverne, is about 3 miles away by road.
