Kittiwake Mullion Cove

Kittiwake Mullion Cove is a 4-star rated bungalow set above the National Trust harbour at Mullion Cove, on the western edge of the Lizard. The property sits on higher ground than the harbour, giving sea views from the south-facing decked terrace and from a shared field at the front where a large lawn runs toward the coastal edge.

Inside, two bedrooms - a double and a twin - sleep four guests. A ground-floor bedroom and bathroom arrangement makes access straightforward for those who prefer to avoid stairs. The kitchen was fully updated for 2026 with an air fryer and coffee machine, and the bathroom was completely refurbished for 2026. One dog is welcome, and a BBQ, dishwasher, and parking are included.

Mullion Cove Beach is 200 metres from the door - a rocky National Trust cove good for rock pooling and snorkelling, with seals regularly spotted in the harbour. Polurrian Beach is about 800 metres along the coast path to the north. Kynance Cove, one of the most dramatic beaches on the Lizard, is 3 miles south. Shops, pubs and fish restaurants in the village are within 800 metres. Poldhu beach - site of Marconi's first transatlantic wireless transmission in 1901 - is 2 miles away.

Best for: couples and small families wanting direct beach access on the Lizard, with one dog welcome. Less good for: guests who need sandy beaches on the doorstep (Mullion Cove is a rocky cove), or groups of more than 4.
