The Puffin

The Puffin is a 2-bedroom bungalow at Mullion Cove on the Lizard, sleeping 4 people. The National Trust harbour is 200 metres away, and the South West Coast Path leaves directly from the village - north to Polurrian Beach (800 metres) and south towards Predannack and Lizard Point.

Inside, the open-plan layout has a double bedroom and a twin room sharing one shower room. The modern interior opens onto a private decked area, with a shared lawn and BBQ space available to guests. No Wi-Fi is provided - suits those deliberately unplugging. Dogs are not accepted, and on-site parking is included.

Mullion Cove itself is a working harbour owned by the National Trust, where seals are regular visitors and local fishermen still use the moorings. The village of Mullion, about a mile inland, has a pub, shops, and a 15th-century church. Helston is six miles north, with its Flambards attraction and weekly pannier market. Poldhu Cove is 1.2 miles along the coast path - a sandy arc notable as the site of Marconi's first transatlantic wireless transmission in 1901.

**Best for:** Walkers who want direct Coast Path access and a relaxed working harbour on the doorstep. Good for couples or families with one younger child.

**Less good for:** Those needing Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, a large property, or a dog-friendly stay - this is a compact 2-bedroom bungalow without a full kitchen amenity set, and dogs are not accepted.
