Lower Ossington

Lower Ossington is a five-bedroom farmhouse for ten within a 60-acre countryside retreat near Launcells, a quiet parish about 3 miles east of Bude. The bedrooms comprise two kings, one with a dressing room, two doubles and a twin, with televisions in one king, one double and the twin. Three bathrooms serve the group of ten, so guests should expect some sharing.

A hot tub and open fire anchor the house, though guests should check with the host whether the hot tub is private or shared before booking. Farm activities include helping to feed cows, sheep and chickens, and field walks cross the grounds with countryside views. The garden has a barbecue. WiFi, parking, EV charging, a dishwasher and washing machine are all provided, and up to three dogs are welcome.

Bude's surfing beaches are the nearest coast: Summerleaze Beach is 4.1 miles away, Crooklets Beach 4.2 miles and Northcott Mouth Beach 4.5 miles. St Swithin's church at Launcells Barton, which John Betjeman called the least spoilt church in Cornwall, is a short drive from the house, and the wider north Cornwall and Devon coast is within reach for day trips.
