Lynwood Cottage

Lynwood Cottage is a traditional stone-built property in Marazion sleeping two in a king-size bedroom. The courtyard outside frames views of St Michael’s Mount between the rooftops and has a bistro table and two chairs for outdoor sitting. It is the kind of outlook that defines the location.

Marazion Beach is 800 metres along a flat route through the town centre, and the tidal causeway to St Michael’s Mount is accessible from that same stretch of shore - available on foot at low tide or by a short ferry crossing when the tide is in.

The town itself has cafes, independent shops, and galleries concentrated within 0.5 miles of the cottage. Penzance is 5 miles west with the Jubilee Pool, a restored tidal lido on the seafront, open from spring through early autumn. Perranuthnoe Beach is 1.3 miles for a different stretch of coast.

Ideal for couples who want a specific destination - the Mount - as the anchor for a break, with a reliable beach within walking distance. Dog-friendly. The 4.2 rating from 17 guests reflects a comfortable if compact property. Not great for families or those wanting more than 2 beds.

Marazion has its own cafes, a pub, and independent shops along the main street, so most everyday needs are covered without driving. Penzance, 5 miles west, adds a railway station on the London mainline, a theatre, and the Jubilee Pool - the UK's largest seawater lido - for those wanting more than the village offers. Long Rock Beach is 1.7 miles for a less-visited stretch of shoreline away from the Mount crowds.
