Millers Cottage

Millers Cottage is a ground-floor one-bedroom cottage in Bude, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom. The open-plan living area is on the ground floor, with two steps up to the double bedroom and its en-suite bathroom. There is an enclosed courtyard garden, and the cottage does not accept children. Wi-Fi, off-road parking for one car, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included. Heating comes from electric panel heaters, and there is an open fire.

Summerleaze Beach is 0.7 miles away - Bude's main beach, with a tidal sea pool cut into the rocks that fills at each high tide and holds its water for swimming as the tide recedes. The breakwater marks the north end of the beach. Crooklets Beach is immediately north of Summerleaze and is the primary surf beach in town, with a surf school and board hire operating seasonally.

The Bude Canal - one of the few surviving tub boat canals in England - runs from the sea lock south through the town for about 1.6 miles, popular for walking, kayaking, and cycling. Bude town centre is within easy reach for independent shops, restaurants, and a small museum covering the canal history and local wrecks.

Best for a couple who wants town-centre access and beach proximity from a ground-floor cottage. Works well as an autumn or winter break. Ideal for guests already familiar with Bude who prefer a quiet lane setting on the edge of town. Not great for families needing more than 2 beds or anyone expecting resort facilities.
