Perran Sands Holiday Park by Haven

Perran Sands is Haven's holiday park above Perranporth Beach, set in the dune system that backs a three-mile stretch of Atlantic-facing sand. The walk down to the beach is around 500 metres through the dunes rather than along a road, which is the park's main advantage over the sites in Perranporth village itself.

Accommodation is self-catering and sold by unit, so layouts and sleeping capacity vary from one caravan or lodge to the next - check the specific unit rather than the park when you book. The indoor swimming pool and flume are the centrepiece facilities and stay useful when the Atlantic is too rough for younger swimmers.

Perranporth has cafes, fish and chip shops and surf hire along the beach road. Trevellas Cove, a narrower and rockier beach, is 2.4 miles north and worth the drive when the main sands are busy. Trevaunance Cove, with its surf school and harbour ruins, is 2.7 miles east along the coast.

Best for families who want beach access and a pool on the same site. Less good for couples after a quiet rural base, or for anyone who wants to know the exact layout before booking, since that depends on which unit is available in Perranporth.
