This single-storey, first-floor apartment in Cornwall, between the Lizard and West Penwith, is an excellent base for a couple or small family who want a beach holiday. In the village of Praa Sands, there’s a small selection of essential shops and a delightful beachfront bar and restaurant (within 0.5 miles). Praa Sands Beach has soft champagne-coloured sand and crystal-clear water, surrounded by thriving heathland along which you can take a long coastal stroll. Head 4.5 miles west to visit Marazion, where you can see the spectacular St Michael’s Mount.

After catching the lift up to the apartment, you’ll step into the open plan living/dining area. Your eyes will be immediately drawn to the large glass-panelled windows and French doors which invite you out onto the peaceful balcony while framing the serene sea views. On the left-hand side of the room, you’ll find a comfortable seating area with a plump sofa and two armchairs. A gentle coastal theme runs throughout this space, in harmony with the views of the crashing blue waves which you can gaze out at while putting your feet up and switching on the Smart TV. Panning across the room to the right, there’s a relaxed dining area with a wooden table and chairs, which also benefit from the view. At the back of the room, there’s a neutral-toned modern kitchen, which is well organised with plenty of surface space for mustering up a delicious home-cooked meal. There is also a convenient utility room where you can find a freezer, tumble dryer, microwave and washing machine. This apartment has two large double bedrooms. Make yourself at home in the master bedroom, which boasts a plush super-king-size bed, a TV and an en-suite with a shower and WC. Inside the second bedroom, you will find twin zip-and-link beds which can be made into a super-king-size on request. The family bathroom is a tranquil room with a rainfall shower over the bath.

Serenity boasts a sunny south-facing balcony with far-reaching sea views. Dine alfresco on the outdoor furniture as the gentle sea breeze blows through your hair.
