Ocean Retreat

Ocean Retreat is a detached double-fronted bungalow at Praa Sands on Cornwall's south coast, sleeping four across a double and a twin bedroom. The single-storey layout keeps the living area, kitchen, and both bedrooms on one level, with views across rooftops toward Mounts Bay.

Outside, a grassy garden wraps the property, and parking is on site. The beach is 300 yards away on foot - a mile of sandy shoreline with consistent south-coast swell that suits both swimmers and beginner surfers. A pub and surfboard hire are within walking distance, and a 9-hole golf course sits close by with views across the bay. Changeover day is Saturday, with check-in at 4:30pm and check-out at 9:30am. The drive has off-road parking for two cars, and half a dozen railed steps lead up to the front door.

The South West Coast Path runs directly from Praa Sands toward Porthcew (Rinsey Cove) and Prussia Cove, both around 1.2 miles along the coast. Marazion, Porthleven, Penzance, and Helston are each within a 15-minute drive, making this a practical base for exploring the southern Penwith coast.

Best for couples or small families wanting a relaxed, beach-first stay with easy coast path access. Up to two dogs are welcome. Less good for those needing more than four beds.
