Spinney

Spinney is a single-storey conversion of an 18th-century barn on a working farm near St Ervan, sleeping four across one double bedroom and one twin. A single bathroom serves the group, and the ground-floor layout means no internal stairs to negotiate.

WiFi, parking, a washing machine and a garden are included, and up to two dogs can stay. There is no dishwasher or hot tub, so guests staying more than a couple of nights should plan on handwashing pots and pans. Host Anna manages the booking, and the garden and laundry make the barn workable for a full week rather than just a weekend break.

St Ervan is a rural parish about three miles south-west of Padstow in Central Cornwall, with the hamlets of Penrose and Rumford nearby and a farm setting rather than a village centre. Porthcothan Bay Beach is 3.1 miles away, Trevone Bay is 3.2 miles from the barn and Harlyn Bay Beach 3.4 miles - all part of Padstow's run of Seven Bays beaches, with local walking and cycling routes also close by.

**Best for:** A family wanting a single-storey farm stay with laundry, parking, a garden and room for two dogs within reach of several beaches.

**Less good for:** Guests needing a second bathroom, a dishwasher, EV charging or a hot tub.
