The original arched windows and stonework set it apart from standard rural cottages, and the interior retains exposed architectural features alongside a wood burner and an open fire. Both heat sources together make this a practical winter let as well as a summer one. The property has an enclosed front terrace with seating, plus shared parking for 3 cars to the rear. Dogs are welcome up to 2, with the garden providing secure outdoor space. The setup is best for a couple or solo traveller after a quiet rural base with real warmth in the evenings.

Trevaunance Cove is 7.9km north - a working cove with a surf school and independent cafe overlooking the Atlantic. Trevellas Cove is 8km for rock pool walking, and Perranporth's long sand beach is 9.7km. Truro city centre is 5 miles south for supermarkets, restaurants, and the Royal Cornwall Museum.

The surrounding area has strong cycling infrastructure, with the Cornish Way long-distance route passing within a few kilometres. The Eden Project is roughly 14 miles east via the A30, and St Agnes heritage mine stacks are visible from the higher ground near the village. Less suitable for guests without a car, as public transport in Chacewater is limited to infrequent bus services on the B3298.
