Trevore Farmhouse

Trevore Farmhouse is a detached 3-bedroom bungalow on a farm outside Chacewater, in the former mining district 4 miles west of Truro. The property sleeps 5 across 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom, and carries a 10 out of 10 from 77 guest reviews - one of the strongest scores in the area.

Inside, the bungalow has an open fire and a private hot tub, plus accessible ground-floor layout throughout. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Dogs are welcome, and the enclosed garden provides space to let them out. WiFi and off-road parking are included. Changeover is Friday.

Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is 9 miles away - a north-coast beach with RNLI lifeguard cover in summer and good surf. Truro city centre is about 4 miles east, giving access to shops, the cathedral, and rail connections. The Mineral Tramways cycling network passes close by, with routes linking the north and south coasts through the old mining landscape. Perranporth's long sand beach is around 8 miles north-west.

**Best for:** Families or groups of 5 wanting a central, well-rated base for west Cornwall with accessible facilities, a hot tub, and dog-friendly grounds without the premium of a coastal location. **Less good for:** Those set on sea views or beach-walk access - this is firmly an inland property, and the nearest beaches require a car.
