Tea Cosy Cottage

Tea Cosy Cottage sits within Park Farm, a working farmstead on the edge of Marhamchurch - a village about 3 miles inland from Bude in north Cornwall. The cottage takes three bedrooms but sleeps only four, which makes it more spacious than the headline numbers suggest. One bathroom serves the whole party.

The sitting room has an open fire - useful in spring and autumn when north Cornwall can be cool and damp even on fine days. An enclosed front garden gives outdoor space without being exposed to road noise. WiFi, dishwasher, and parking are included. No washing machine, so pack accordingly for stays longer than a week.

The beach access is the main draw here. Widemouth Bay is 3.2km south along the coast road - a broad, south-facing beach that surfers use year-round and families find easier than Bude's town beaches during peak season. Summerleaze Beach in Bude itself is 3.7km, with the Bude Sea Pool on the rocks below the coastal path - a tidal swimming lido that has been here since the 1930s. Crooklets Beach is 4.2km, another surf-friendly stretch popular with bodyboarders.

Bude town has a canal, weekly market, supermarkets, and a decent spread of cafes and restaurants. Marhamchurch village has a pub and a shop within 0.3 miles, so a car is not essential for everyday needs.

Ideal for a couple bringing another couple, or a family of four who want a farmland setting rather than a town base. Less suited to groups of six, since the third bedroom doesn't add a sixth guest. Not suitable for dogs or anyone needing accessible facilities.
