The Crows Nest

The Crows Nest is a traditional two-storey cottage in Porthleven for two guests. Its one bedroom has a king-size bed, with one bathroom completing the compact layout. The cliff-top position and veranda provide sea views across the beach, Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount.

Parking, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and the cottage has garden access. The veranda faces south and has a bistro table and chairs. Dogs are not accepted. The two-storey layout and cliff-top setting also mean steps and drops should be checked before booking.

Porthleven Beach is only 100 metres away, below a harbour village that has become one of Cornwall's notable food destinations - Kota Restaurant and Kota Kai, run by Rick Stein-trained chef Jude Kereama, sit on the harbour, alongside the annual Porthleven Food Festival each April. Porthcew Rinsey Cove is 2.5 miles from the cottage and Gunwalloe Church Cove 3.5 miles. The Porthleven guide covers the village's shops and harbour life, while the veranda keeps the coast in view when guests stay in.

**Best for:** two guests wanting direct sea views, a veranda, Porthleven Beach within 100 metres and practical laundry facilities.

**Less good for:** dog owners, or those needing step-free access.
