The Granary Bodinnick By Fowey

This two-bedroom cottage in Bodinnick is a converted grain store with origins in the 16th century. It sleeps four across a double and twin bedroom, with a private garden and parking on site. One dog is welcome.

The layout is compact and practical: two bedrooms share a single bathroom, with a dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen. Access to the property is straightforward - parking is provided and the cottage sits in the village itself.

The two-minute vehicle ferry across the Fowey estuary puts Fowey's waterfront restaurants, independent shops, and galleries within easy reach without the longer inland road via Lostwithiel. Readymoney Cove - a sheltered beach below St Catherine's Castle - is 2.2km. Lantic Bay, a National Trust cove reached by a cliff path, lies 2.3km away. Hall Walk, the National Trust coastal path starting at the top of Bodinnick lane, makes for a good two-mile circuit via Pont Pill.

Beyond Fowey, Lanhydrock House and Gardens (National Trust) is about 7 miles north and worth a half day. The Eden Project is roughly 14 miles east.

Best for couples or small families who want estuary character and direct access to Fowey without paying Fowey prices. Less suited to guests who need multiple bathrooms or a larger garden space.
