Godrevy Beach, with the lighthouse used as the model for Virginia Woolf's novel, is 4.2 miles. Porthkidney - the narrow sand spit closing off the estuary mouth - is 4.5 miles. Hayle town with shops and a supermarket is around 10 minutes by car.

Suits couples or a pair of friends who want high-end facilities - hot tub, pool, wood burner - in a quiet rural setting with a dog. Not great for guests who need to walk to the beach: all three nearest beaches are a 15-20 minute drive, and parking is not listed as a standard feature at this property.
