Dogs are welcome, and the garden with BBQ extends the usable outdoor space. Dishwasher and washing machine are both included. Gwithian Towans - a mile-long dune-backed beach popular with surfers and walkers - is 5.7 kilometres north through the farmland and lanes above the Hayle Estuary.

Godrevy Beach, with the lighthouse used as the model for Virginia Woolf's novel, is 6.7 kilometres. Porthkidney - the narrow sand spit closing off the estuary mouth - is 7.2 kilometres. Hayle town with shops and a supermarket is around 10 minutes by car.

Suits couples or a pair of friends who want high-end facilities - hot tub, pool, wood burner - in a quiet rural setting with a dog. Not great for guests who need to walk to the beach: all three nearest beaches are a 15-20 minute drive, and parking is not listed as a standard feature at this property.
