The Lambs Barn At Trevadlock Manor

Set on the edge of Bodmin Moor, this barn hosts six guests, or larger groups when combined with the interlinking cottage next door. The estate leads down to the private banks of the River Lynher and onto quiet country roads with waymarked footpaths. Launceston is 7 miles away, with Cornwall's north coast 15 miles and south coast 23 miles distant. The Nine Stones Stone Circle is 3 miles on foot or by bike, and Trethorne Golf Club (4 miles) and Launceston Golf Club (7.5 miles) are a short drive.

This traditionally styled barn retains plenty of original features. Open-plan living is upstairs, with a light-filled lounge/kitchen/diner, a dining table and a Smart TV, plus the first of three bedrooms, a twin. Downstairs are the remaining two bedrooms: a double, and a super-king-size room with a zip-and-link bed for flexible sleeping, which has its own en-suite. The main family bathroom is also on the ground floor.

Outside, the large garden has a furnished patio and BBQ, with space to store bikes. Guests also have access to a shared games room and a fenced communal orchard where dogs can play, with a gate leading to a further 20 acres down to the River Lynher. Off-road parking is available for 3 cars.

Best for dog-owning families wanting space to roam, with the fenced communal orchard and 20 acres down to the River Lynher. Less good for guests who can't manage stairs, since the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and one of the three bedrooms are upstairs.
