The Lodge at Lamburn

The Lodge at Lamburn stands in the rural village of Penhallow, a countryside base within reach of the north coast, with Perranporth close by for the beaches. It has two king-size bedrooms, both with en-suites: one has a bath with a shower over and its beds can be set as a twin on request, and the other has a walk-in shower and a TV. It sleeps four.

The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and the sitting area is centred on a woodburning stove. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with an ice box, kettle and toaster. There is a Smart TV with Roku, and WiFi. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove, plus bed linen and towels, are included.

The enclosed garden has a lawn, decking, furniture, a barbecue and a hot tub. Off-road parking is for one car and is not suitable for a low sports car. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Smoking is not allowed.

Bookings need 3 days notice before arrival, and the maximum stay is 7 nights. The nearest shop is 2 miles away and the pub 1.6 miles, so a car is useful.

Newquay is 9 miles and Truro 9.5 miles away. The lodge suits two couples or friends who want their own en-suite, and is less good for a party with two cars.
