Trenant

Trenant is a four-bedroom log home sleeping 8, on the edge of Little Petherick - a hamlet in a wooded creek valley 2 miles south of Padstow. One bedroom more and two additional sleeping spaces than its smaller neighbour Trenant 6 make this the better choice for groups of eight or two families travelling together.

The ground floor layout spreads across three connected spaces: a lounge with electric fire and wall-mounted TV opening onto a balcony, a separate snug with desk and bean bags, and an open kitchen/dining room that seats eight. A utility room at the rear has laundry facilities and direct back-door access for rinsing gear after beach days. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and two twins. The master double has an en-suite shower room; a second bathroom with light-up mirror serves the remaining three rooms. Up to two dogs are welcome.

The gated deck connects kitchen and lounge, and faces out over rural fields. The first bedroom’s French doors open onto a separate balcony with elevated countryside views. Padstow harbour is 2 miles north by road. The Camel Trail cycle path runs along the estuary from Wadebridge (5 miles south) to Padstow - flat, traffic-free, and good with children. Camel Creek Family Theme Park is under 3 miles away. Trevone Bay is the nearest beach at 4.6km.

Best for two families or a group who want separate sleeping areas and genuine countryside quiet within easy reach of Padstow. Less suited to guests without a car - there is no village shop or pub in Little Petherick. Up to 2 dogs welcome.
