Wyndham Trenython Manor is a hotel set in 24 acres of grounds and woodland above St Austell Bay, a short drive from Fowey. Built in 1872 to a design commissioned by General Garibaldi, the manor keeps its original oak panelling, sweeping staircases and decorative ceilings through the public rooms. Da Kona, the resort's main restaurant, won a Gold Award at the 2024 Taste of the West Awards.

The resort runs an indoor pool, sauna, gym, and spa treatment rooms, alongside a second restaurant, a bar, and private dining and conference space. Accommodation ranges from hotel rooms to self-catering lodges and cottages spread across the grounds. Dogs are welcome throughout, and free parking, garden access and WiFi are included.

Readymoney Cove is 2.2 miles from the manor and Lantic Bay 3.5 miles, both reached via the coast road into Fowey. Carlyon Bay is 3.5 miles from the manor in the other direction, and the estate also hosts weddings and civil ceremonies in its event spaces, with dedicated staff for the planning.

Best for a spa weekend or a wedding party wanting grounds and leisure facilities on site. Less good for anyone wanting to walk straight to the beach, since the coast is a drive away.
