Tuckingmill
Mining heritage village between Camborne and Redruth
Tuckingmill is a village in the Tuckingmill valley between Camborne and Redruth, in the heart of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. The valley contains scheduled ancient monument mine engine houses from the copper and tin mining era.
The village is well placed for exploring the mining heritage of the Camborne-Redruth area. The Great Flat Lode Trail passes nearby, and Heartlands, a heritage centre on the former South Crofty mine site, is about a mile away. The north coast at Portreath is about 3 miles north, and Gwithian and Godrevy beaches are about 5 miles north-west.
