Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm

Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, located near Truro in Cornwall, is a family-run farm with a rich heritage and a passion for traditional craftsmanship. Opened to the public in 1986 on a 150-year-old farm site, it has become Cornwall’s largest independent cider producer and is home to the region’s first distillery in over 300 years. The farm is best known for its signature Rattler cider but also produces a variety of artisan wines, spirits, juices, preserves, and sauces.

Visitors to Healeys can enjoy a wide range of experiences that go beyond just cider. The farm offers self-guided and guided tours through its cider museum, production halls, distillery, and barrel cellars. There are opportunities to meet farm animals, take a vintage tractor ride through the orchards, and enjoy farm-to-table meals or Cornish cream teas at The Old Bottlery Restaurant. Tastings are a highlight, with a variety of ciders, wines, and spirits available to sample or purchase in the on-site shop.

The farm is open all year except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Hours are 9am to 6pm from April to June and again in September and October, 9am to 8pm in July and August, and 9am to 5pm from November to March. Tours and some seasonal events are booked in advance on the farm’s website, and it is worth checking what is running on the day you plan to visit. As a working farm, what you see depends on the time of year: pressing, for example, depends on the apple harvest.
