The 117th Falmouth Spring Flower Show runs Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 March 2027 at Princess Pavilion, 41 Melvill Road, Falmouth. Entry is free, and the four acres of gardens around the Pavilion stay open alongside the horticultural displays.
Falmouth Town Council has run the show since 2019, when the volunteer committee that had organised it for decades stood down. Competitive classes cover horticulture, floral art and a re-wilding sculpture challenge run with Falmouth Art Gallery, plus junior classes for ages three to 16 covering edible jewellery, miniature gardens and fruit-and-vegetable animals. In the early 1900s the show was the county’s season opener, drawing visitors including the Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton. The March date still tracks the growing season: camellias, daffodils and early shrubs peak in Cornwall well before they do further east, and the competitive classes are built around them.
