Gyllyngvase Beach, the main town beach, is a short drive away and has the Gylly Beach Cafe on the sand.

Falmouth town centre is three miles north, with the National Maritime Museum Cornwall on the waterfront, Pendennis Castle at the harbour mouth, and ferries to Flushing, St Mawes and (in summer) Trelissick. The South West Coast Path runs south from the town along the coves towards the Helford.

Best for dog owners and accessible-needs travellers who want a quiet base within reach of Falmouth's beaches and harbour. Less good for large groups - sleeping capacity is two, not six.
